ESSENTIAL DAILY ASPIRATION CLEANING.

Purpose

AlproJet-D is a concentrated alkaline cleaning solution designed for the daily cleaning and maintenance of dental aspiration and separation systems, including amalgam separators.

Key Features

  • Powerful cleaning and deodorizing: Deodorizes and dissolves aspirated residues and organic contaminants, including blood, saliva, proteins, mucus, fatty residues, and other biological deposits.
  • Helps protect the water system: Minimizes the risk of mercury entering the water system from amalgam separators.
  • Fully biodegradable in accordance with international OECD regulations. 5L canisters allow less environmental waste.
  • Meets Cleaning performance to EN 1040 and EN 1275; CE 0123. (EU)
  • Long shelf life 3 years
  • Recommended as safe to use by multiple leading manufacturers of dental units. Ask for endorsement documentation.
  • Alternating cleaning protocol: For long-term, reliable cleaning results, AlproJet-D should be used in an alternating protocol with AlproJet-W

DIFFERENT TREATMENTS. DIFFERENT RESIDUES.
ONE ASPIRATION CLEANING SYSTEM.

Every treatment day puts something different into your suction system — saliva, blood, proteins, polishing compounds, prophy powder, cements, acids and mineral deposits.

ALPROJET-D + ALPROJET-W combine alkaline and acidic cleaning in one systematic protocol — cleaning, disinfecting and protecting the aspiration system across the demands of everyday dentistry.

EVERYDAY DENTISTRY — CLEAN & MAINTAIN

Routine cleaning and disinfection after everyday dental procedures. ALPROJET-D tackles the daily organic load and helps keep aspiration systems clean, fresh and flowing.

PROPHYLAXIS — CONTROL POWDER & DEPOSITS

Air-polishing and prophylaxis introduce powder and mineral residues that can contribute to incrustation, foaming and suction drop-outs. ALPROJET-W provides the targeted acidic counter-clean. Your ALPRO instructions specifically describe W before prophylaxis to help avoid incrustation, foaming and suction drop-outs.

SURGERY — TACKLE BLOOD & PROTEIN

After surgical procedures, coagulated blood and heavy protein contamination require a different cleaning approach. ALPROJET-W helps dissolve these residues so they can be removed from the system more effectively.

INTENSIVE CLEANING — RESET THE SYSTEM

For heavily contaminated systems, product changes or demanding cleaning situations, ALPROJET-W provides an intensive acidic cleaning protocol to loosen accumulated residues and restore the system to an effective maintenance baseline. The manufacturer's guidance includes a dedicated basic-cleaning protocol when changing products.

Why practices choose ALPROJET-D + ALPROJET-W

  • TWO-PHASE CLEANING — BECAUSE ONE pH CAN’T DO EVERYTHINGALPROJET-D works in the alkaline range (pH 11.5) while ALPROJET-W provides the complementary acidic phase (pH <2). Different contamination requires different chemistry.
  • DAILY CLEANING + TARGETED COUNTER-CLEANINGALPROJET-D is the everyday alkaline cleaner and disinfectant. ALPROJET-W provides the acidic counter-clean for residues that require a different chemical approach.
  • TACKLES THE REAL LOAD INSIDE DENTAL SUCTIONDesigned around what actually enters aspiration systems: saliva, blood and proteins, mucus, fats, drilling debris, prophy powder, mineral deposits, etching acids, chlorhexidine, hydrogen peroxide and cement residues.
  • BUILT FOR ROUTINE, PROPHYLAXIS & SURGERYOne system addresses everyday suction hygiene as well as the more demanding contamination associated with air polishing and surgical procedures. ALPRO's instructions include specific W protocols for prophylaxis and coagulated blood.
  • HELPS KEEP SUCTION FLOWINGBy controlling organic residues, powder, mineral scale and other deposits, the system helps reduce the conditions associated with blockages, suction drop-outs, foaming and reduced aspiration performance.
  • PROTECTS MORE THAN HYGIENE — PROTECTS THE SYSTEMALPROJET-D neutralises acidic residues while ALPROJET-W tackles mineral scale and other deposits, supporting the long-term cleanliness and function of suction and separator components.
  • SUITABLE WITH OR WITHOUT AMALGAM SEPARATORSBoth ALPROJET-D and ALPROJET-W are specifically intended for dental suction systems with and without amalgam separators.
  • AMALGAM-SEPARATOR CONSCIOUS CHEMISTRYThe ALPRO evidence base includes university testing of mercury release associated with suction-cleaning chemistries — a valuable environmental and equipment story that differentiates the system from aggressive chlorine-based approaches.
  • LOW-FOAM FORMULATION FOR DENTAL SUCTIONALPROJET-W is specifically formulated not to foam, an important characteristic for reliable aspiration-system operation.
  • SIMPLE, SYSTEMATIC & ECONOMICALBoth products are used as concentrates, with the standard D/W maintenance protocol using a 5% working solution. One 5 L canister therefore prepares up to 100 L of ready-to-use solution.

FAQ

common
questions.

What is AlproJet-D used for?

AlproJet-D is a daily alkaline cleaning concentrate for dental suction and separation systems, with or without an amalgam separator. It lifts aspirated residues such as saliva and drilling dust and dissolves stubborn deposits in the tubes and drain lines, helping prevent recontamination.

How do I use AlproJet-D, and what is the contact time?

Use it at 5% in warm water (40–50 °C), 1–2 times per day. With the Alpro MixCup, dose 2 × 50 mL of concentrate and fill to 2 L; aspirate 1 L through the tubes and pour 1 L into the spittoon bowl. Let it act (min 30 up to overnight), then rinse the tubes and bowl before starting work.

Is AlproJet-D a disinfectant?

AlproJet-D is primarily designed to clean dental suction lines by removing organic residues and deposits, while also providing a disinfecting effect. European disinfection efficacy (1.5% concentration, 60 minutes): Bactericidal: EN 13727, EN 14561. Yeasticidal: EN 13624, EN 14562.

What is AlproJet-D made of?

A high-pH, non-foaming concentrate based on a quaternary ammonium compound, a complexing agent, amphotensides and sodium hydroxide. It is free of phenols, aldehydes, phosphates and chlorine.

Is AlproJet-D suitable for systems with an amalgam separator?

Yes. It is aldehyde-free and non-foaming and is intended for aspiration and separation systems with or without an amalgam separator. Material compatibility has been tested and approved by well-known dental-device manufacturers.

How does AlproJet-D fit with AlproJet-W?

AlproJet-D is the daily alkaline step; AlproJet-W is the acidic contra-clean. For centralised suction systems, with or without an amalgam separator: use AlproJet-D for one full week, followed by AlproJet-W for the next full week, alternating weekly. For non-centralised suction systems: use AlproJet-D for 3 days and AlproJet-W for 2 days each week.

Why do I need to alternate between AlproJet-D and AlproJet-W instead of using just one product?

Different residues require different cleaning chemistry. AlproJet-D removes organic deposits such as blood, saliva and proteins, while AlproJet-W targets mineral buildup, limescale and polishing powders. Alternating both products delivers more comprehensive cleaning, helps prevent blockages and maintains optimal suction performance.
