Resetting and restoring your dental waterlines, effectively removing biofilm and restoring waterline compliance - guaranteed
REMOVE THE BIOFILM. RESET THE WATERLINE.
Professional intensive cleaning for contaminated dental unit waterlines.
When routine water management is no longer enough, the BRS® Biofilm Removing System provides a systematic intensive treatment to remove established biofilm and accumulated contamination from inside dental unit waterlines — creating a clean baseline for ongoing water management with ALPRON and BILPRON.
Professionally performed by accredited staff.
REMOVE → FLUSH → TEST → MAINTAIN
BRS® — RESET Remove established biofilm and contamination.
ALPRON — MAINTAIN Continuous water management during daily operation.
BILPRON — PROTECT Protect waterlines during stagnation and periods of non-use.
REMOVE.MAINTAIN.PROTECT.
One complete approach to dental unit waterline management.

Why practices choose BRS®
REMOVES ESTABLISHED BIOFILM — NOT JUST BACTERIA IN THE WATER
BRS® is an intensive professional treatment designed to break down and remove established biofilm from inside dental unit waterlines, creating a clean baseline for ongoing water management.>6-LOG REDUCTION IN INDEPENDENT LABORATORY TESTING
In the 2026 laboratory study, BRS® followed by BILPRON achieved a greater than 6-log reduction in bacterial load versus the untreated control (p<0.001) under the tested conditions.TESTED TO ISO 16954 METHODOLOGY
The BRS® / ALPRO waterline system has been independently tested using the internationally recognised ISO 16954 dental unit waterline biofilm test methodology, covering both biofilm prevention and removal. ISOA SYSTEMATIC 3-COMPONENT BIOFILM REMOVAL PROCESS
- 1. PRE-CLEAN — attacks and opens the protective biofilm matrix.
- 2. REMOVE — intensive cleaning removes loosened biofilm and deposits.
- 3. FINAL TREATMENT — BILPRON completes the process and prepares the waterlines for ongoing protection.
FROM CORRECTIVE TREATMENT TO CONTINUOUS CONTROL
BRS® is not an isolated treatment. Once established contamination has been removed, ALPRON provides continuous daily waterline management and BILPRON protects the system during stagnation.RESULTS THAT CAN BE VERIFIED
Water testing provides a measurable check of microbial water quality after treatment — turning waterline hygiene from an assumption into something the practice can test, document and manage.PROVEN BEYOND THE LABORATORY
A separate six-year university-hospital study followed 68 dental units and 628 water samples using BRS®, ALPRON and BILPRON; 99.8% of samples met the study's extended microbiological criteria, with no Legionella or P. aeruginosa detected. PMCMATERIAL & ENVIRONMENT CONSIDERATIONS
Free from silver-ion technology and designed as part of ALPRO's dental-unit-specific waterline management system.

FAQ
common
questions.
What is the BRS Kit?
The Biofilm-Removing-Set (BRS) is a staged, one-off clean that removes established biofilm from dental treatment-unit waterlines before routine Alpron/Bilpron maintenance begins. It is supplied as three products used in sequence: BRS PreCleaner, BRS Remover and Bilpron.
How is the BRS Kit used?
In sequence, following the BRS booklet: BRS PreCleaner, then BRS Remover, then Bilpron. After the clean, keep the lines clean with Alpron day to day and Bilpron weekly, and re-check with Biotesters. Always follow the current Product Information and Instructions for Use.
When should I use the BRS Kit rather than Alpron or Bilpron?
Use the BRS Kit as a reset when biofilm has already built up. Alpron and Bilpron then maintain clean lines; the BRS Kit is the deep clean that comes first.
What is in the BRS Kit?
REF 3179-PM — a sachet of PreCleaner, a bottle of Remover and 1 L of Bilpron disinfection agent, supplied together with step-by-step instructions.
Is the BRS Kit safe to handle?
Handle each component according to its Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and the Instructions for Use — including recommended PPE. Hazard and precautionary details are in the SDS downloads on this page.
