Ultrasonic Cleaning & Disinfection — preparing instruments for optimal sterilisation.

WHY JUST CLEAN WHEN YOU CAN CLEAN AND DISINFECT?

TWO ESSENTIAL ACTIONS. ONE ULTRASONIC STEP. JUST 5 MINUTES.

Blood, organic residues and microbial contamination demand more than superficial cleaning.

BIB forte combines effective instrument cleaning with validated bactericidal disinfection in one ultrasonic treatment, helping prepare compatible reusable dental instruments for subsequent reprocessing and sterilisation.

Cleaning + disinfection

CLEAN THOROUGHLY. DISINFECT EFFECTIVELY. PREPARE WITH CONFIDENCE.

STERILISATION STARTS WITH WHAT HAPPENS BEFORE IT.

BIB forte — effective cleaning and disinfection for a more efficient instrument-reprocessing workflow.

Reprocessing note: The 2% / 5-minute claim applies to the specified ultrasonic procedure and validated efficacy conditions. Follow the current BIB forte instructions for use, including rinsing, inspection, drying, packaging and sterilisation where required. Disinfection does not replace sterilisation.

BIB forte

BIB forte — KEY FACTS

MORE THAN CLEAN. DISINFECTED.

Why practices choose BIB forte

TWO ESSENTIAL ACTIONS. ONE ULTRASONIC STEP.

  • 1. CLEAN AND DISINFECT — NOT JUST CLEAN

Unlike an ordinary instrument cleaner, BIB forte combines cleaning with validated bactericidal disinfection in one ultrasonic treatment.

THE BENEFIT: Two essential reprocessing functions in one defined procedure.

  • 2. 2% CONCENTRATION. 5 MINUTES. VALIDATED BACTERICIDAL ACTION.

At the specified 2% working concentration and five-minute ultrasonic contact time, BIB forte delivers cleaning and bactericidal disinfection under its validated conditions.

THE BENEFIT: A straightforward, repeatable protocol for busy instrument-reprocessing teams.

  • 3. REDUCE MICROBIAL CONTAMINATION BEFORE FURTHER HANDLING

Instruments undergo a disinfection step before staff proceed with subsequent rinsing, inspection, drying and packaging.

THE BENEFIT: Helps reduce microbial contamination during the reprocessing workflow. Appropriate PPE and handling precautions remain essential.

  • 4. NON-PROTEIN-FIXING — BECAUSE BLOOD RESIDUES MATTER

Its non-protein-fixing formulation supports the removal of blood and protein contamination without the unwanted fixation associated with certain chemistries.

THE BENEFIT: Supports effective cleaning before subsequent reprocessing and sterilisation.

  • 5. PROTECT VALUABLE INSTRUMENTS

Designed for high material compatibility and corrosion protection when used with suitable reusable instruments according to the instructions for use.

THE BENEFIT: Effective instrument hygiene while helping preserve compatible instrument materials.

  • 6. MORE THAN BACTERICIDAL — SPECIFIED VIRUCIDAL ACTIVITY

BIB forte also has a stated 10-minute activity against herpes simplex virus (HSV) outside ultrasonic treatment conditions.

THE BENEFIT: Additional antimicrobial capability for appropriate applications, subject to the manufacturer's validated concentration, contact time and instructions.

  • 7. CLASS IIb MEDICAL DEVICE — PURPOSE-BUILT FOR DISINFECTION

Registered in Australia as a Class IIb medical device under ARTG 167778, rather than positioned simply as a general-purpose detergent.

THE BENEFIT: A product intended for medical-device disinfection with defined regulatory and performance requirements.

  • 8. PREPARE INSTRUMENTS FOR THE NEXT CRITICAL STEP

Combined cleaning and disinfection supports the subsequent validated reprocessing stages, including inspection, drying, packaging and sterilisation where required.

THE BENEFIT: A structured, repeatable process supporting effective instrument reprocessing.

Both pathways must include all steps required by the instrument manufacturer's validated instructions. Cleaning and disinfection do not replace required sterilisation.

  • 9. ONE SOLUTION FOR A WIDE RANGE OF DENTAL INSTRUMENTS

From general dental and surgical instruments to compatible rotary instruments, burs, endodontic files and precision instruments, BIB forte supports versatile reprocessing.

THE BENEFIT: Fewer specialised treatment solutions and a more consistent workflow.

  • 10. HIGH DISINFECTION PERFORMANCE. LOW MATERIAL STRESS.

BIB forte is designed to combine antimicrobial performance with high material compatibility and corrosion-inhibiting properties.

THE BENEFIT: Protect expensive, corrosion-sensitive instruments while achieving the validated disinfection outcome.

This is particularly relevant for precision rotary instruments, where maintaining surface integrity and cutting performance matters.

  • 11. VISIBLE CLEANING ACTION — A PRACTICAL DAILY CHECK

The slight foaming or wetting action could be a useful training cue for staff when assessing the cleaning bath.

THE BENEFIT: A simple visual observation that encourages staff to check solution condition rather than treating the bath as permanently effective.

Foaming alone does not prove disinfectant concentration or antimicrobial efficacy. Visible contamination, excessive loading and the prescribed replacement interval must take priority.

  • 12. PROTECT THE CUTTING EDGE, NOT JUST THE SURFACE

Proper instrument separation, compatible chemistry and controlled ultrasonic processing help reduce avoidable damage to delicate cutting edges and surfaces.

THE BENEFIT: Support instrument performance and help avoid unnecessary replacement caused by inappropriate reprocessing.
